Welcome to Bury Town Community Football Club
At Bury Town Community Football Club, we believe football is for everyone. Operating as a registered charity on a not-for-profit basis, we are dedicated to providing accessible, inclusive, and enjoyable football opportunities for players of all ages and abilities across Bury St Edmunds and the surrounding region.
Our Ethos: Participation, Development, and Fun
As an FA 3-Star Accredited England Football Club, we prioritise qualified coaching, robust safeguarding, and strict adherence to The FA’s Respect Programme. We aim to create a safe, welcoming environment where players can build skills, forge friendships, and stay active.
Inclusive Pathways: We manage over 30 teams covering boys’ youth pathways, girls’ pathways, women’s teams, and dedicated disability football teams.
Community-Led: Powered by more than 80 dedicated volunteers, our club supports 350+ registered local players every week.
Social Impact: We generate over £1,300,000 in social, physical, and mental health value annually for the local community, working in partnership with local charities and causes.
Shared History & Identity
While Bury Town Community FC operates independently as a registered charity with its own management committee, we share a rich heritage and iconic badge with our first-team counterparts, Bury Town FC (founded in 1872).
We regularly host showcase community days, sponsor events, and end-of-season presentation ceremonies at the historic Ram Meadow ground on Cotton Lane. Through the power of football, we continue to build a healthy, active, and united local community.Football for all
